Book Day!

As writers, we aren’t supposed to be at a loss for words. It’s not writer’s block, it’s just a void, 250_bigfinal_GG_Anubis1_ETobler_CovArtwhere there’s a low humming and a smile and a softly glowing book cover.

Rings of Anubis: Gold & Glass is officially out today! You can find it on Amazon, and B&N, and it will soon also be on Kobo. If you haven’t seen the shiny new Masque Books website, you should also go there, because there are two other releases from Masque today: Land of Dreams by Erzebet Yellowboy and Water, Circle, Moon by Sally McBride. I need to load up my tablet later!

To properly celebrate we have cake, and books, and a treasure hunt! And probably dancing and lots of giggling, because because! I can’t sit still!

A.C. Wise was also kind enough to chat me up about Gold & Glass, and its sequel, Silver & Steam (which arrives next month!). You can see a big, beautiful version of the S&S cover on her site, (artwork by Timothy Lantz, design by Sherin Nicole), so go peek! Eiffel Tower! Airship! Smoking gun!

A lot of amazing people have made it possible and held my hand along the way. Sean Wallace, Natalie Luhrs, Paula Guran, Beth Wodzinski, Kenneth Kao, J. Kathleen Cheney, Deva Fagan, Jennifer Kahng, J. Anderson Coats, Anna C. Bowling, Mary Robinette Kowal, Lazarus Avery, Joseph O’Flaherty, Michael Mazour, Sophia Kelly Shultz! And my fearless muse.

There’s more of course; many editors helped me get here, whether they know it or not, constantly encouraging me to push my writing into new territory. It’s easy to sit back and keep doing the same thing. I want to kick down some (more) walls and keep going toward that horizon. Who knows what’s over the edge?

Knowing me, it is likely a universe made entirely of cake.
