The Paper Anniversary
I suspect all authors dream of their stories and books getting reviews. Honest, even, and fair (by which I mean glowing and neon and lighting up the darkness that is the dark matter mass of an author's heart).
Friday, Ana Grilo at Kirkus (and also of The Book Smugglers) had this to say about Rings of Anubis:
The Rings of Anubis, comprising of Gold & Glass and Silver & Steam, is a self-contained duology set in an alternate 19th century, featuring a great female protagonist, a wolfy hero, adventure, archaeology, fantasy, mystery and romance. It is deliciously fun.
Deliciously fun! You can read the entire review here!
My author's heart lit up. Kind of like E.T., when he got all transparent and glowy. Turn on your heartlight! There was much dorky rejoicing, I cannot lie. I also cannot lie that I avoided the review at first because it was too scary. I made Beth read it first and once she patted my hand and told me I was being absurd, I skipped over to read.
Eeep!
Today, I am super happy to share two things with you.
1) Traditionally, the first wedding anniversary gift is a gift of paper. This summer, approximately a year after its digital release, Rings of Anubis will be...in paper!
and
2) Here's the cover! It should look pretty familiar, but there are some new details on there, please take note of them all. Art is by Timothy Lantz, and design by Sherin Nicole. I am excite, and I hope you are, too!
Awesome! I need to get a paper version!
So excite!!
